New Course Online: "Sampling in Statistics"

We are very pleased and proud to announce that we published our 4th Open Course at OCW KU Leuven! 

This Open Course by Prof. Dr. Geert Molenberghs deals with a whole range of principles of sampling in statistics. It is an advanced course, aiming at everybody with an interest in broad understaning of sampling techniques in view of survey research and related research.

The original course (as taught at KU Leuven) is developed as a part of the program Master in Statistics, jointly offered by UHasselt and KU Leuven.

The following sampling techniques and themes will be discussed:

  • simple random sampling
  • systematic sampling
  • benchmark (ratio) estimators
  • stratification
  • multi-stage sampling and clustering
  • and weighting.
